Not a Care

I woke one Sunday morning, about two weeks ago, and discovered that I’d “lost” all of my photographs in Lightroom. As I desperately tried to understand what went wrong and regain control of the situation, tears welled up in my eyes; my heart sank. I was absolutely devastated. I was angry with whoever in my family last used the computer and screwed things up, i.e., everyone but me. Fast forward to this weekend. With a great Lightroom 5 guide in hand, and the good foresight to have backed up my catalog regularly, the tears have dried and family harmony is restored. I’m now working on actually learning and understanding Lightroom (yes, I’m one of those folks who claims to learn best by just doing and not really reading the instructions). And there were one or two silver linings in the experience. During the course of restoring my 30,000 plus photo catalog I happened upon photos I’d forgotten about or overlook previously. This post is one such photo. Kids with jelly fish, Jupiter Beach, Florida, 2013.
