Parc des Princes
One of the highlights of our visit to Paris was seeing a Paris St. Germain game at the Parc des Princes. We saw a night game, but we got to the stadium early enough for me to take this photograph before the sun set. Another irresistible scene, and another scene that I had to wait for. I raised my camera to take the shot and almost immediately a man stepped into the frame and lit a cigarette. I waited patiently for him to move but he was having it. I scowled from behind the camera and was too timid to ask him to step aside long enough for me to take the shot. So, I walked around him and stood almost at his back to be able to keep as much in the frame as I first imagined the shot. If there was one thing I learned from our trip to Paris, you’ve got to take charge. Otherwise, I’d still be there waiting for him to finish his cigarette.
